What Treat collects

If you use Treat without creating an account, your data (budget, spending, and preferences) is stored only on your device. Treat doesn't know you exist.

If you create an account, Treat collects:

• Your email address (to create and secure your account)
• Your budget and spending data (amounts, categories, and dates of treats you log)
• Your preferences (weekly budget amount, reset day, and which spending categories you've turned on)

This data is stored securely using Google Firebase, a cloud service provided by Google. Only you can access your own data.

Usage information

Treat collects basic, anonymous usage data to understand how the app is working:

• Which screens you visit
• Key actions (like logging a treat or completing onboarding)
• Crash reports (so we can fix bugs)

This is collected through Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics, both provided by Google. This data is not tied to your identity and is used only to improve Treat.

What Treat does NOT collect

Treat does not collect your name, location, contacts, photos, health data, or any information from other apps on your device.

Treat does not sell your data

Your information is never sold, rented, or shared with advertisers. Your data is only shared with Google Firebase for the purpose of making Treat work (storing your account and data, reporting crashes).

Notifications

Treat may ask to send you reminders. This is optional. You can turn notifications on or off at any time in the app's settings or in your device's Settings.

Deleting your data

You can delete your account and all associated data from within the app. If you use Treat without an account, you can delete your data by deleting the app from your device.

If you have trouble deleting your data, contact us and we'll take care of it.

Children's privacy

Treat is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top. Continued use of Treat after a change means you accept the updated policy.
